Sports Adjuncts (Sportsbodies)

Friendship Club 

We have ten outings in the year, visiting various destinations by bus these include factories, Museums, Tourist attractions, craft displays, race meetings or anything else we feel could be worthy of a visit.

Every July we host our own popular social day, when outside clubs are invited to come along and enjoy our Hospitality and facilities which we Pride.

8 Ball Club

At present our members have inhouse challenge games mainly on Sunday’s.

We hold club competitions every few months in the Club , these are advertised internally in the club and club newsletter Email. The AGM is normally held in December.

 

If you would like to join our group fill out an application form for the adjunct at the bar and pay the $10 yearly Subscription

Darts

We currently have teams competing in the Te Awamutu district Darts league.

Competition nights are on Tuesday Night normally between March and November each year.

Teams from the club contain six players each. Darts games are Double start and Double finish.

Athletics

This is a horse racing club formed specifically to attend each race meeting held in Te Awamutu at the Waipa racing Club or other local areas.

We have our own room at the racecourse that contains our own TAB with two teletext TV’s and a refreshment fridge.

The Subs are $10 per year.

Fishing

The main purpose of the club is to provide fishing experiences at various venues on both east and west coasts.

Most trips are in the warmer months but we do fish for some other fish like Tarakihi in the colder months.

We hold our AGM in June/July.

Subs are $10.00 per year.

Gun Club

The gun club activities include organised clay bird shoots, an annual trip to Coroglen for a shooting competition and a turkey shoot with the locals.

Duck shooting annual get together is in the first week of May.

Younger members are urged to attend so as they may learn forearms handling and safety skills.

Annual subs are $10 per year and then payable in May of each year.

Indoor Bowls

We play from March to October each year.

We have teams that compete in the Te Awamutu and District indoor bowls association.

We enter teams in the Clubs NZ national competitions each year.

Golf Club

We play all year round weather permitting , we enter teams into the Clubs NZ Nationals and the North Island Champs

for both Men and Women tournaments
